National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
Feb. 27 - April 3
NSSE (pronounced “Nessie”) stands for the National Survey of Student Engagement. Responses to the survey will help the university make improvements to student services and activities.
First and fourth year students, look out for an email from Vice- Provost, Students Nona Robinson to receive your personalized survey link.
See if you’re eligible.
The NSSE survey is sent to first-year and fourth-year undergraduate students. Not sure if you’re eligible? Use this tool to find out!
When you share feedback, you create POSITIVE CHANGE
Improved Academic Advising
Through NSSE, students asked for better access to academic advising. In response, we updated academic advising websites and booking systems, and have included Civitas into advising sessions to reduce the number of times a student tells their story.
Access to Career Supports
Students told NSSE that they wanted better access to career supports and services. Career Education & Development responded with the launch of the Career Lounge, the Becoming YU Program and targeted career development workshops and programming.
Supporting Mental Health and Wellness
NSSE data resulted in more consultation and outreach with students to develop the new Mental Health and Wellness strategy, with community engagement sessions currently underway. NSSE data also resulted in the development of health and wellness services and workshops on campus.
Give feedback, get a free coffee!
